متن انگلیسی پاسخ آکسفورد
Recent claims that the University of Oxford deleted records of an honorary doctorate that had been awarded to Mr Ali Kordan are untrue. The University also refutes claims that a degree certificate bearing his name was given to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The University stands by its original statement on this matter issued on 15 August 2008. The statement is available at www.ox.ac.uk/media/news_stories/2008/080815.html

Ms. Ruth Colier
Head of Press Office
University of Oxford
Dear Ms. Colier
I hope this email finds you in best of health and fine spirit. First please accept my sincere apologies for this direct contact but I am sure by reading this email you will agree with me that your help and assistance is needed to resolve a problem that has become a national dilemma for Iranians in the past few weeks.
You might have heard from your colleagues or even in the news that Mr. Ali Kordan, the Iranian Home Secretary (interior minister) made a claim that he has received an honorary doctorate in Law from university of Oxford in 2000. One of the Iranian media made an enquiry to your office to verify such claim and your office issued a statement on 15th August categorically denying such claim.
Unfortunately since then Mr. Rahimi one of the Iranian officials who happen to be Mr. Kordan's close friend has made another statement in the media claiming that he has sent a representative to London just to find out that all the records of Mr. Kordan's credentials had been removed from the website of the University. As a result he hired a local solicitor to contact the University for further investigation and the said solicitor using the legal channels got access to the university's main site and managed to find the correct record of Mr. Kordan 's credential. The authenticity of his degree has now been verified by the authorities and it has been sent to Mr. Kordan in Iran.
Obviously a simple search in your website shows that the university is still standing on its previous position that no degree has been awarded to Mr. Kordan but if this new claim is true, it is expected that the University issues a new statement to confirm this claim and even to apologise to Mr. Kordan for causing this confusion and mayhem. But in other hand if this claim is only an attempt to save Mr. Kordan's reputation then it is expected that University to issue another statement and clearly clarifies the University's position regarding this new claim and Mr. Kordan's degree. I do understand that you might have the policy of not getting engaged in any political games but I strongly believe that this issue has to be addressed clearly once for all and even if necessary legal actions to be taken not only to show the truth to the public but also to keep the reputation of the university from any harm this might cause in the academic world. I thank you in advance for your understanding and taking time to read my email and I look forward to hearing from you in a near future.
Kind regards
Fruz Rjai
